For those of you who remember Stephen Clark's Engineering Company in Alva, it has moved to Alloa and most of the buildings have been demolished.

These photo's were taken on the 16th March 2006 from the road between Tullibody and Fishcross. The first one catches the last of the bonded warehouses at Menstrie. Alva. Collylands Crossroads. Alva again. Alva with the Silver Glen and Woodhill. Close up of Strude Mill with the Alva Glen behind it. Dumyat from the raod between Alva and Parkhead.

The notorius Collylands Crossroads is having a roundabout constructed at the moment. In the top pictures there is a before photograph which I am glad I managed to take before work began. Above is the construction work. I will be able to add another to show the finished work.

In 2005 we had a lot of flooding in the county. Part of the footpath was washed away at the middle dam and we could go o further. Alva wasn't the only place to succumb to the elements though!
