KENNETPANS "A small village on the shore of Clackmannan parish, with a small harbour"
[Clackmannan and Kinross by J.P.Day B.A. B Sc., 1915 ]

Kennetpans derives its name from the panning of salt from the sea water. There would have once been a salt panning industry here. There was also a distillery and brewery at different times. A pow for the loading and unloading of ships can still be seen today. It is difficult to imagine that this would have been a very busy place at one time as all that is left are a few picturesque cottages.

Old Ruins once a distillery and brewery, then a jail.

Part of an old cobbled street - lasted well !

I haven't been able to see for myself, but old rings are supposed to be attached to the old stone dock side.
