Helen Crawford
was born on the 21st April 1877 at Slamannan, Stirlingshire.
Helen married
Archibald Elliot Caldwell on the 14th December in Elinora/Eleanor, Jefferson
County, Pennsylvania.
He was the son of John Caldwell and Agnes Elliot and was born on the 2nd
March 1870 at Townhead, Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland.
The place where
they married has not shown up on any map I have looked at. Both of these
spellings appear on the certificate. William Crawford gave his consent and
his address was also given as Eleanor, Jefferson County, PA.
Thanks to Joe I have now been able
to locate Eleanora Road just outside of Henderson, PA. He told me it was in
McCalmont Township. This one must be the place as we know they were at
Henderson. It comes up on a search on Google Maps but not Windows Live
Local.
Archibald worked
in the coal mines and in 1900 they were at Henderson, Jefferson. In 1910
they were at Brady's Bend then in 1920, 27 East North Street, Somerset,
Pennsylvania and 1930 219 East Fairview Street, Somerset, Pennsylvania.
