William Crawford

William Crawford was born on the 6^th December 1879 at Glengowan, New Monkland and died 5^th February 1952 in Ohio.

William emigrated to USA with his parents and would have been with them at Mineral Ridge. Carole told me that he was sent to work in the coal mines when he was 12 years old, which would have been in 1891. I now know that his father Naturalised in Jefferson County in 1890 so he would have been sent from there and more than likely from Falls Creek.

William married Janet Dyer MacTavish. She was born in 1885 in Brisbin, Pennsylvania and died 18th December 1966 at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial.

In 1910 and 1920 they lived at Summerhill, Cambria, Pennsylvania and then in 1930 they had moved to 805 Washington Avenue, Niles, Trumbull County, Ohio. William had been a coal miner but in 1930 he was a Leveler, Steel Mill.

Mary McIntyre Crawford, born 12^th May 1902, Kaylor, Pennsylvania and died 2^nd February 1962 Forum Health Trumbull, Memorial Hospital, Warren, Trumbull, Ohio. She married Lewis P Moherman. They had no children.

Alice Vivian Crawford, born 6^th August 1904, Kaylor, Pennsylvania and died 5^th October 1933.

Ruth Gertrude Crawford, born 24^th June 1906, Kaylor, Pennsylvania and died 7^th May 1989.

Jeanne Naomi Crawford, born 17^th December 1908, Dunlo, Pennsylvania.

Mildred MacTavish Crawford, born 8^th may 1910, Beaverdale, Cambria County, Somerset Twp. Pennsylvania and died 9^th August 1993, Canton, Stark, Ohio.

Ethelyn Crawford, born 8^th May 1913, Beaverdale, Cambria County, Somerset Twp. Pennsylvania and died 19^th November 1967 at Trumbull County, Ohio.

Ellen Yulle Crawford was born 27^th July 1915 at Beaverdale, Cambria County, Somerset Twp. Pennsylvania and died 21^st July 1972, Forum Health Trumbull, Memorial Hospital, Warren, Trumbull, Ohio.

William Crawford, was born 12^th July 1917 at Beaverdale, Cambria County, Somerset Twp. , Pennsylvania and died 15^th February 1942.

Thomas MacTavish Crawford, born 30^th May 1919, Beaverdale and died 23^rd August 1995, Warren, Ohio.

Lois Virginia Crawford born in Niles Ohio.
