William lived with his parents at 41
Whitelaw Street, Maryhill in 1871, 153 Main Street, Maryhill in 1881 and then
with his married sister in 1891 at 1 Wellwynd Street, Airdrie where he was an
unemployed Coal Miner. At the time of his marriage in 1897 he was working
as a Pit Head Man and lived at 64 Bridge Street, Cowdenbeath, Beath, Fife. By
1901 he was a coal miner, hewer, and lived at 13 Foulfold Place, Cowdenbeath.
His brother John ended up in Cowdenbeath and this may have been partly due to
William being there. At the time of her marriage, Isabella was a Tailors
Machinist and lived at 15 Main Street, Airdrie. They lived at 392 Dundyvan Road,
Coatbridge when Isabella died in 1939, from Diabetic Coma Hyperglycemia as she
had suffered from Diabetes Mellitus. When William died from a cerebral
haemorrhage in 1939 he had been a Watchman (Retired). William must have
been staying with his brother Thomas when he died.
