David Dalrymple was born March 1887 in Stockton-on-Tees, and died 17 October 1953 in Middlesbrough. He married Jane Elizabeth Carr on the 1st May 1909 in Parish Church Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, daughter of Frank Carr and Elizabeth. She was born about 1873 in Stockton.

David was at 17 Paradise Row, Stockton and worked as an angle iron smith in 1909. Jane lived at 16 Nicholson St, Stockton-on-Tees, Durham in 1881and at 4 Williams Row, Stockton in 1909.

Children of David Dalrymple and Jane Carr are:

Francis David Dalrymple, born 1909 in Stockton. He married Mary Catherine Hannon in 1930 at Stockton. They had five children.

Ralph Henry Dalrymple was born 1912 in Stockton. He married Ellen Agnew in 1934 in Stockton. He served in the far east during WW2. He was then a Businessman in Zambia. They may have had one daughter.

Jane died in 1913 in Stockton. She left David with two young children. In those days there was no social services and he had no family left to help out. His only option was to find another wife.

Raymond Dalrymple, born 27 March 1919 at 91 Lumley Street, Middlesbrough.

Edward Dalrymple, born march 1921, Middlesbrough.

Sadly, Emily also died in 1925, again leaving David with young children as well as 4 step children to try and look after. Again, his only recourse was to try and find another wife

Lavina died in 1931. It is, as yet, unknown what became of Dorothy.

Henrietta died in 1964 in Cleveland, Yorkshire North Riding.
