James Hunter was born about 1823 in Alloa, and died from acute lobar pneumonia 30 Jul 1892 in Cambus, Alloa He married Margaret Drysdale on the 4th July 1846 in Alloa/Alva, daughter of John Drysdale and Jean Sharp. She was born 18 Feb 1825 in Dollar, and died from a cerebral haemorrhage after 1 day on the 28 Aug 1892 in Cambus, Alloa.

The family were at Low Road, Private, Cambus, Alloa in 1871 and Cambus in 1881. James was a distillery worker between 1857 and 1881. See Census 3

James Hunter was born 20 April 1865, Cambus, Alloa and died 12 Apr 1867, Cambus, Alloa. He died from a fever of fourteen days and cramps for two days.

There was also a grandson, Alexander Wilson with them at Cambus in 1879.
