Margaret Gordon

Margaret Gordon was born on the 13th June 1789 and christened 21 June 1789, Alloa, Clackmannan. She died, after having dropsy for two months, 18th Nov 1875 at Clackmannan. She married John Archibald on the 27th September 1811 in Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire. He was born about 1789 and died from 'inflammation of bladder' on the 31st Jan 1871 at Clackmannan.

The above James and David could be uncles of John. This census was almost invisible and very difficult to read. The two ages are what I made them out to be

The grand daughter. Margaret, was obviously brought up by John and Margaret as she stayed with them even when her father actually married her mother and she signed the grand mother's death certificate.

Elizabeth Archibald was christened 28 October 1811, Clackmannan. She may have married James Gibson but more needs to be done to confirm this.

John Archibald was christened 9 October 1813, Clackmannan.

Margaret Archibald was christened 16 June 1816, Clackmannan.

David Archibald was born about 1824 and died 04 Apr 1896 at Craigleith Poorhouse, Edinburgh.

Thomas Archibald was born about 1829, Clackmannan, Clackmannanshire. His occupation in 1851 was a ship carpenter.
