Upon finding Edward Porter's daughter with a woman called Jane Holland, I suspected that Jane Holland could be her aunt. No relationships are given on the 1841 censuses so this was just a hunch on my part.

In 1851, Jane Holland has a brother James living with her. Jane was born about 1781 and the brother James was born about 1795, both Stafford, Dorset.

I checked to find a marriage for Jane and she married Edward Holland on the 11th March 1822 at West Stafford, Dorset. This proved she was indeed a Porter and must have been an aunt. This means that Edward had a sister Jane and a brother James.

I had a look at the Chelsea Pensioner listings again and found a William Porter, born Stafford, Dorset. He was with the same regiment as Edward, 35th Foot Regiment. He served between 1805 and 1817 and was discharged aged 34. This makes his birth about 1786. I suspect this is yet another brother for Edward.

There may also be a brother George as well.

Although no parents have been found this is the Porter family found thus far:-

Jane Porter, b. 1781, Stafford, Dorset. married Edward Holland 11th March 1822. He died before 1841.

Edward Porter, b. 1785, Stafford, Dorset.

William Porter, b. 1786, Stafford, Dorset

James Porter, b. 1795 Stafford, Dorset

George Porter - only possibility so far.
