Susan Goff was born between 1832 - 1835 in
Halstock, Dorset, and died after 1891. She
married John Porter
4th April 1863 in Parish Church, Chickerell,
Weymouth, son of Edward Porter and Elizabeth
Arnold. He was born about 1825 in Cork, Ireland,
and died 1893 in Weymouth.
In 1841 and 1851 Susan was with her parents at
Portland, Halstock, Dorset. In 1861 she was
working on a farm and was at Cottage, Higher
Kingston, Stinsford, Dorset. After she married
John Porter, they lived at Cottage, Putton,
Chickeral, Dorset in 1871. By 1881 they were
residing at Alexandra Inn, Chickerell, Dorset.
Then in 1891 1 Somerset Cottages, Chickerell,
Dorset. On both the 1881 and 1891 censuses Susan
was listed as blind. In 1901 she was at Monte
Video, Chickerell, Weymouth with her daughter
and son-in-law, Sarah
Anne Porter and Thomas Isaac.
