Charles Knight
was the son of James Knight
and Fanny Lane. He was born about 16th March 1841 in St
German's, Cornwall, and died after 1901. He married
Mary E. -------. She was born about 1845 in Ladock, Cornwall,
and died after 1901.
Charles was with his parents on the
1841 census at Glasdon, St
German's, Cornwall. He is still with his parents in
1851 at Cuttonbeake Cottage, St
Germans, Cornwall. The only Charles Knight that matches is the
one found in 1861 at Fore Street,
St Germans, Cornwall. He is with a Carpenter and his family and
Charles is a Carpenter's apprentice. This occupation enabled him
to be followed through with the remaining censuses. He turned up
at 30 Forston Street, Hoxton New Town, Shoreditch, London in
1871 when he was a qualified
carpenter and the census for 1881,
he appears on is at 3 Frogley Road, Camberwell, London. In both
1891 and
1901 the family are at 15 Landcroft Road, Camberwell,
London.
