David Isaac
(1799 - )
All that is
known, has been taken from Thomas Isaac's marriage certificate
for
the name and occupation of his father. He was David
Isaac, Colliery. Doesn't tell us much does it?
With a lot
of hair pulling, teeth grinding and brain strain I think
I have been able to figure it out. If it isn't right for
Thomas, then it is right for somebody!
I will add
the census and other snippets later but for now, here is
what seems to the answer to some of the ancestors.
There was a
David Isaac who married Hannah around 1825. This David
was born about 1799 in Glamorgan and Hannah about 1802
in Llandilo, Carmarthenshire. David was a collier and
they lived at Llanguich, Glamorgan in 1841. David
appears to have died between 1841 and 1847.
Children of
David Isaac and Hannah are:-
David Isaac, born about 1826
at
Ystradgynlais,
Breconshire.
John
Isaac, born about 1830
Glamorgan, Wales.
Mary
Isaac, born about 1831,
Glamorgan, Wales.
Rachel Isaac, born about 1837
Glamorgan, Wales.
Isaac
Isaac, born about 1840,
Glamorgan, Wales.
Hannah then married a man
called Bedlington Jones in 1847 at Neath. Apart
from her age and place of birth, 3 children are
step children to Bedlington Jones and they live
at No 7 Company Buildings Llandebie,
Llandeilo Fawr, Carmarthenshire. This is where
other family members turn up on the censuses and
convinces me that so far, this is correct.
In 1861 Bedlington
and Hannah are still in the same place and both
John and Isaac are still with them.
This concludes David
Isaac and Hannah so far.
The son David born
about 1826 seems to have married a woman called
Elizabeth and had 2 but possibly 3 children to
her. It would also seem to be that she died and
David then married Anne Richards. Anne had been
married before, to Lewis Richards but her maiden
surname was Jones. |
