Fanny Maria Knight was born at the end
of 1862 in St Germans, Cornwall and died after 1901. She married
William Henry Parkins on 16th March 1886 in St Germans Cornwall. He was
born about 1863 in Lower Heyford, Oxfordshire, and died in 1929.
Fanny was working as a Nursemaid
Domestic Servant for a family called Furneaux at Lower Heyford, Oxfordshire
in 1881. Henry Furneaux was born
in St German's so Fanny worked for them and then they moved to
Oxfordshire and she went with them. This was how she met and married a
man from Oxfordshire.
William was working for the South
Western Railway company and was a station master at Woolhampton
Berkshire in 1891 and then Radley, Berkshire in 1901.
William would probably
have been the second Station Master at Radley, Berkshire, as he
was there from 1899 until 1927 which is when he would have
retired. The family lived at the Station House which was newly
built. He was employed by SWR R CL and also GWR. He died in
1929, only 2 years after retiring. Click on the link on the

John Henry Parkins, born
1890 at Woolhampton, Newbury, Berkshire. He married a
woman called Ethel Mary. He died 29th January 1960 and
Ethel died 22nd July 1971 and they are buried at Early,
Berkshire.
Elsie Florence May Parkins
born 1900 at Abingdon, Berkshire.
