Family History

The Goff Family - the first family members as far back as has been researched so far. The name has been spelled as Goff and Goffe another alternative is Gough but not yet found appertaining to this particular family.

George Goff and Sarah

As far back as this has been researched thus far, George Goff may have married Sarah prior to 1835.

George was born between 1806 and 1809 in Halstock, Dorset and died bewteen 1871 and 1881. Sarah was born about 1806 in Litton (Lyton Cheney) Dorset and died after March 1881.

George and Sarah were at Portland, Halstock, Dorset in 1841 and George was an Agricultural Labourer. They were still there in 1851 and he was a Farm Labourer. By 1861 their address was Cottage, Higher Kingston, Stinsford, Dorset and 1871 Glebe Cottage, Piddlehinton, Dorset where George was still an Agricultural Labourer. In 1881 After George's death, Sarah is at Fordington, Dorset and 'Of No Occupation'.

John Goff/Goffe born before 3rd March 1839
