Helen Dorothy Isaac (1903- )

Helen Dorothy Isaac was born in 1903 in Weymouth and died sometime after 26 September 1944. On the 16th January 1937 she married a William Kellaway Bartlett at the Register Office in Weymouth. He was the son of John Kelloway Bartlett, Fisherman. William Bartlett was born about 1882, and died 21st January, 1955 and was buried 26th January 1955 at Weymouth. (Uncon B152) He was 73 years of age and a retired farmer.

Her residence on 26 September 1944 was 14 Australia Road, Chickerell, Weymouth, Dorset. She registered her mother's death and was 'H D Bartlett, daughter'.

This is all that is known at this time.

It is now known that Helen Dorothy Isaac married Percival Richard Elsden on the 8th November 1921 at the Parish Church, Chickerell. Percival was born about 1893 and was the son of Walter Hammond Elsden who had been a Clerk and was deceased at the time of the marriage. Percival was also a Clerk and lived in St Frideswide, Oxford.

Helen was only 18 when she married and was living in Chickerell. It is unknown how she met a man who lived in Oxford.

It is not known whether the children are Eldens or Bartletts; they could be either given her age at both marriages.
