Horace Hector
Charles Knight
(1903-1956) |
|
 |
|
Horace Hector Charles Knight was born 22nd March 1903 in 26
Camperdown Street, Morice Town, Devonport, Devon, England and
died on the 7th August 1956. He
married Violet Elizabeth H Woodward in 1928 in Devonport,
Devon. She was born 18th February 1904 in Devonport, Devon and
died on the 12th March 1983 in Plymouth Devonshire.
In 1911, Horace was with his parents at
26 Hamilton Street,
Devonport. When he married his residence was 9 Pym Street,
Devonport and he was a mechanic.
On the 9th August 1935, Horace's residence
was given as 26 Hamilton
Street, Keyham, Plymouth when he registered his mother's death.
There is an immigration record for
Horace and Violet returning to the UK on 13th October 1950,
arriving at Southampton, England, from Durban, South Africa on
'Stirling Castle' His occupation listed as a Government
official. He was returning to 52 Vanguard Terrace, Plymouth,
which was the residence of his sister Mabel, thus confirming
that this is the correct person.
From the death certificates of both
Horace and Violet, it would appear they had no children. Horace
actually died in the surgery waiting room of Ridgeway, Plymouth.
His brother-in-law registered the death. He was Wilfred S Croft
and was married to Violet's sister Winnifred. Violet died at
Kingston Lodge, Seymour Road, Mannanead, Plymouth and John
Douglas McNichols registered the death. he was the occupier of
that address.
So far I have not been able to
establish whether or not Horace and Violet had any children. |
