Descendants of Robert Hill

Generation No. 1

Robert Hill,  Vintner in Greenock, was born 9 January 1738 and was christened 12 January 1738 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, and died 4 September 1797. He married Margaret Barr on the 6th May 1763 in Kilbirnie, Ayr (& Greenock), daughter of William Barr and Margaret Stirrett. She was born 20 November 1743 and christened 20 November 1743, in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Children of Robert Hill and Margaret Barr are:-

Janet Hill, born 29th July 1764 and christened 29 July 1764, Kilburnie, Ayr, Scotland. She died between December 1796 - 1801, Either Port Glasgow or Cumbernauld. She married WILLIAM STEVENSON, 26 May 1792, Port Glasgow/Greenock; born about 1765 and died 27 July 1839, Clackmannan.

Mary Hill, was born and christened on the 8 February 1767, Domorkland, Ayr, Scotland.

John Hill was born and christened 30 July 1769,Kilbirnie, Ayr., Scotland. He died before 1778 and married Jean Smith 23 February 1806.

James Hill was born and christened 20 July 1771Kilburnie, Ayr, Scotland.

Robert Hill was born and christened 5 March 1776Middle Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland. He married Elisabeth Miller on the 17 August 1819, Greenock, Renfrew.

Margaret Hill was born 1 September 1773, Middle, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland. She married Alexander Kerr on the 21 June 1794, Middle or New Parish, Greenock, Renfrew.

Anne Hill was born 12 October 1782, Greenock, Middle, Renfrew, Scotland.

Thomas Hill was born on the 20 July 1786 and christened 23 July 1786 , Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He married Mary Wilson on the 26 February 1818, Middle Paisley, Renfrew.
