Andrew was a Coal master at Townhill Colliery, Dunfermline. He died
from Diarrhoea 8 days, congestion of brain and cholisine (sic) fever.
Children of Mary Stevenson and Andrew Christie are:

James Mason Christie was born 5 June 1853, Dunfermline,
Fife and died between 1881 - 1909, Unmarried.
From the legal Doc for James Mason Christie, he attained majority
on 5 June 1878 which means he would be born 1853. If by then, the
legal age was 21 then he'd be born in 1857. As no birth has been
traced, then I would opt for 1853 being correct.
Robert Christie was born in 1854 at Alloa and died 14
April 1881, Abercrombie Place, Stirling UNMARRIED. Cause
of Death: Tubercular or malignant disease of Peritoneum 11 months.
He was a timber merchant and lived at 11 Abercromby Place, Stirling
in 1881. On the 14 April 1881, Deanfield Braes.
Andrew Christie purchased Devon iron Works from his
brother Alexander in 1853. He then sold it on to Mr James Millar of Glasgow in
1857.
This now explains how and why
Robert Stevenson, Mary's brother, was the
farmer at Bank Farm in 1861 although not in residence and recorded at Alloa.
