Ashford Region
This region is
where you should find any information regarding those Wyles in Kent, East and
West Ashford. As can be seen from the information below, this family travelled
and can probably be found in more places than I have listed on this web site for
now.
Connections to
the other places and countries will be added when the rest of the web layout has
been changed.
From further information received I
believe the Ashford Wyle line and the Amesbury Wyle's have to be connected
somewhere. The first names certainly follow and both branches have confirmed
connections to the Brentford area. I will be working on this and must send off
for a few certificates to see if my hunches are right. Updates will be posted
when I receive any certificates.
This Family Group are associated with Brentford, Salisbury, West
Midlands, Scotland, USA, Canada and Australia.
Samuel Wyle, b. 1850 East Ashford
Eliza Susannah Wyle, b. 1851 East Ashford, m. 1876
West Ashford.
Albert John Wyle, b. 1853 East Ashford, d. 4 March
1931, Australia.
As far as I have been able to piece bits of the puzzle together, this
family originated in Kent.
On the 1881 Census the family was thus:-

Jane Lawrence Wyle might be the same Jane Wyle who married Richard
Lovelock which would link the Amesbury ones with the Kent Wyle's. However, Eva Maylan was
married in Salisbury if and it would seem that her father died in Salisbury. Without the
actual certificates to corroborate the index information I have managed to to
establish the following Genealogy report.
Death of Arthur John Wyle
Arthur John Wyle, Grocer, Single died at 10h 30m PM on 5 August
1905 at the County Hospital, Dalziel. His usual Residence was at Corporation Buildings,
Cleland. He was aged 31 according to the death certificate. His father was William Samuel
Wyle, Baptist Minister, who signed the death certificate, from Westbourne Ave, Salcombe,
Emsworth, England. His mother was Charlotte Swaffer (deceased).
From the death certificate registered at Dalziel, Lanarkshire, on 8
August 1905.

Albert John Wyle is listed as a son-in-law but
unmarried. There is obviously a relationship but is incorrect here. |
