Brentford Wyle

Tracing Their Movements

I have been following the movements of the 'Wyle' Family from the census records.

1901

Jesse 'Wyld' was at 'The Village' Buttermere, Wiltshire. His occupation was as a Farm Carter

His wife, Mary, was with his and her occupation was a Farm Labourer.

Jesse's son George 'Wild' is at Oxford Street, Ramsbury, Wiltshire. He is married to Amelia, who was born in Ramsbury as was their daughter Elizabeth, who is 11 years old. His occupation was a Shephard. Amelia is recorded as being 52 years old which means that their daughter would most likely have been their only child. Yet another female line to the 'Wyle's'.

On the 1901 Census, Sarah (Jack's mother) is working as a housemaid (domestic) at The Close, Salisbury. She was working for a Sixty Nine Year Old Widow, Maria Dowland. Sarah's older sister, Mary is also working at the same place as a Cook.
