This may explain the Wyle names appearing in the Shrewsbury,
Shropshire area and could be the connection to the Rowley Regis group.
John Wyle was born about
1821 at Broseley, Shropshire. He moved to Ashford in Kent and married Mary
Hill in 1849 at West Ashford. They must only have had the two sons as John
died around 1854. From the census in 1861 it would appear that they also had
a daughter! When Albert was born in 1853, John Wyle was an Engine Fitter.
The children of John Wyle and Mary Hill:-
William Samuel Wyle was born about
1850 at Willesborough, Kent and may be the one who died at Amesbury in 1919.
His records will have to be found in order to confirm this.
Eliza
Susannah Wyle was born about 1851 at
Willesborough, Kent.
Albert John Wyle was born about 1853
at Willesborough, Kent and died 4th march 1931 in Australia.
After her husband died, Mary was a nurse for
a family at Ashford in Kent in 1861.

Mary would have had to send the children to other family members as she would
not be able to look after them herself. William Samuel is with an aunt and
uncle.

This census shows that there may also have been
a sister Eliza. Albert was shown as being deaf. I am also of the belief that
Eliza Hill must be the grandmother to the Wyle children.

On the 1891 census, Mary Maplesden is with Eliza and her
family in Hackney and is down as a mother-in-law. It is possible that Mary
Hill re-married George Maplesden.
It would seem that Eliza
married Edwin Ovenden in 1876.
